Another NGDB song
For those who are serving far away from home...
Safe Back Home
I put on her colors with honor
And carried them over the sea
To battle at the mouth of the devil's tunnels
Are you safe back home praying for me?
And do you still use the same words you taught me
That you learned at the dear savior's knee
On that sweet morning there in the garden
And are you safe back home praying for me?
How long? How long? How long? How long?
Will the words of this prayer be my hope
It if be His will and I'm delivered for real
We'll say "amen" together I know.
On patrol in the cold of this desert
I tremble as I wait for my relief
I picture our circle of family
Are you safe back home praying for me?
How long? How long? How long? How long?
Will the words of this prayer be my hope
If it be His will and I'm delivered for real
We'll say "amen" together I know.
Safe Back Home

And carried them over the sea

Are you safe back home praying for me?

I know a man who served 18 mos. in Afghanistan. he's changed a lot since he's been home, and it's not for the better.
they all need to come home soon.
